Police Officer Injured During Scuffle At Virginia Hospital Center
An Arlington County Police officer was injured Monday morning during a scuffle with a homeless man who was acting disorderly.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a homeless man Monday morning who was acting disorderly at the Virginia Hospital Center, according to the daily crime report.
Around 10:37 a.m., officers at the hospital were in the process of restraining the suspect when he started to act disorderly. Following a brief struggle, in which police say the suspect struck one of the officers, they took the suspect into custody. The officer who was struck sustained minor injuries.
ACPD arrested Daunte Butler, 22, of no fixed address, and charged him with assault and battery on law enforcement. He is being held without bond.
