Police: Robbery at Knifepoint Reported at Seven Corners Center

Incident took place Friday night in shopping center off of Leesburg Pike and Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard).

Fairfax County Police report that a woman was robbed at knifepoint Friday night in the parking lot of the Seven Corners Shopping Center.

The shopping center includes a Home Depot, Ross Dress for Less, Barnes and Noble bookstore and more.

The robbery took place in the 6200 block of Seven Corners Center (see Google map below) Friday at about 10:03 p.m., police said. The victim was walking through a parking lot and was approached by a man who brandished a knife and demanded her wallet, according to police. Police did not say where specifically the victim was walking at the shopping center.

The victim threw her purse on the ground and ran away as the suspect took her property and ran a different direction, police said. The victim sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene, according to FCPD.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, about 35 years of age, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with black hair and a black mustache, police said. He was wearing dark jeans, yellow button up shirt and sandals.
