Police Swarm Virginia Hospital Center Due to Suspicious Package
A suspicious package in the mailroom of the Arlington hospital caused a scare on Tuesday morning.

ARLINGTON, VA — A suspicious package caused a scare at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington on Tuesday, prompting a large police presence as authorities investigated.
Police were called to the 1600 block of N. George Mason Drive at around 10:39 a.m. Tuesday, with both police and firefighters responding to the mailroom of Virginia Hospital Center due to a suspicious package that had arrived, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"During the course of the investigation, it was determined there was no immediate threat posed by the package and at approximately 1:10 pm. the all clear was given," the report states.
