Police: Two Busted in Stolen Silverado on Jefferson Davis Highway

The man and woman inside the vehicle also provided false IDs to the officers, according to police.

A man and a woman were busted Friday night after being caught in a vehicle that was stolen earlier this month in Prince George’s County in Maryland, police say.

The 2005 Chevrolet Silverado in question was spotted by Arlington County police Friday night shortly before 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway, prompting police officers to pull it over, according to a police report and department spokesperson Ashley Savage.

The car was being driven by 49-year-old Howard Bernard Dent of Temple Hills, Md., and he was accompanied by 25-year-old Candace Leonard of Washington, D.C. They “provided false identification to the officers,” Savage said, but all that earned them was the addition of identity theft to their list of charges.
