Police: Woman Escapes After Two Men Jump Her

Police say the men tried to put an "unknown object" over her head.

A woman escaped an attempted abduction last night after two men approached her and tried to put something over her head.

Police are on the lookout for two men who came up behind a woman in the 200 block of N. Columbus Street at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night, according to an Arlington County police report.

One of the men tried to place an "unknown object" over her head while the other man "touched her inappropriately.

The woman was able to break free from the men and flee on foot.

Police described both men as Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 130 lbs. The first man was wearing a dark colored shirt with white and black checkered shorts, while the second man had on dark colored pants and a dark colored shirt.
