Lockdown Lifted At Wakefield High School, Trespasser Not Found: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — A lockdown at Wakefield High School in Arlington was lifted Thursday as students were dismissed and county authorities continued investigating a reported trespasser.

In an update posted shortly after 3 p.m., Arlington County police said no trespasser was found on school property.

CONTINUED: The investigation determined the trespasser is not currently on school property. The lockdown will be lifted at dismissal and students will be dismissed on time. The investigation into the trespassing incident is ongoing.

During the investigation, school officials asked parents and guardians not to come to the school to pick up their children. Around 3:30 p.m., school officials tweeted that bus delays were expected on multiple routes.
No injuries were reported, police said.
