ARLINGTON, VA — Good news, barre fans: a new Pure Barre studio reportedly has opened in Pentagon City.
ARLnow.com reports that the Pure Barre opened on the ground floor of the new Bartlett apartment building at 520 12th Street S on Feb. 18.
The word "barre" refers to the stationary handrail that is used for support for people performing exercise, especially for ballet. Its popularity has grown in recent years as a way to get in shape, combining techniques in yoga, ballet and pilates.
