Purse Stolen By Force In Pentagon City: Crime Report
Arlington County Police are investigating a robbery by force that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the Pentagon City area.

ARLINGTON, VA — A woman walking in the Pentagon City area had her purse forcibly stolen Wednesday afternoon, according to the Arlington County Police Department's daily crime report.
Officers responded around 2:17 p.m., for the report of a robbery by force in the 1200 block of S. Joyce St. The victim told arriving officers that she was walking along when she notice a man following her. As she turned around, the man grabbed her purse, breaking its strap. Two bystanders tried to chase the man, but he implied that he had a firearm, which dissuaded them from following him further. The man then entered an old, green and silver Chevrolet minivan being driven by a second suspect and they drove away.
Police describe the suspect as a Black man, 20-30-years old, standing 6 feet tall, with a a medium cut beard. He was wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants.
