ARLINGTON, VA — Thanks to the support of National Landing Business Improvement District (BID), developer JBG SMITH, and Events DC, every restaurant in the National Landing area will be able to participate in Restaurant Week. This is the first time all restaurants in the area are participating for free in the annual promotion, which kicked off officially on Monday.

The Restaurant Association of Metro Washington (RAMW) sponsors the two-week promotion, which runs through Aug. 30 this year. It's an opportunity for D.C.-area eateries to highlight the variety of cuisines and diversity of cultures they have to offer.

In order for all of the National Landing restaurants to participate, National Landing BID agreed to cover the costs of RAMW membership and administrative fees for the restaurants. More than 40 National Landing restaurants will be able to enjoy RAMW membership for a year and restaurants that are already RAMW members can have their annual membership fee reimbursed. In addition, JBG SMITH and Events DC agreed to pay the Restaurant Week participation fee for all RAMW members.

“We are thrilled to expand our ongoing support for National Landing’s restaurants through our partnership with RAMW,” said Tracy Sayegh Gabriel, president and executive director of the BID, in a release. “Our local restaurants have accepted the recent challenges head on, nimbly adjusting their operations to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and navigating through the various stages of reopening. We are confident that Restaurant Week will bring them increased business by encouraging locals and people throughout the region to safely visit the dynamic dining scene here in National Landing.”

Unlike in previous years, participating restaurants will offer a variety of price points and promotions from which customers can choose. Some of the promotions will include take-out offerings, cocktails to-go, and fast casual restaurant packages.
