Scary Attack Near Rosslyn: Man Breaks Into Woman's Home, Grabs Knife
Police say a burglar tried to get into the woman's bedroom, but was unable to do so.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man broke into a woman's home near Rosslyn Monday night, grabbed a knife in the kitchen and then tried to get into her bedroom, police say.
Police were called to the 1300 block of Fort Myer Drive at around 7:39 p.m. on March 6 to a report of a burglary in progress, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown subject entered a female victim’s residence," the report states. "The female victim was in a bedroom at the time and heard noises originating from the kitchen. The victim believed the subject retrieved a knife from the kitchen as he made his way towards her location."

The man tried to get into the bedroom but was unable to, fleeing the scene shortly after, the report adds.
Police attempted a K9 track of the area, but were unsuccessful. The victim was only able to get a glimpse of the suspect's shoes, which were gray. The investigation is ongoing.
