Security Guard Attacked By Man With Knife In Crystal City: Police

A security guard at a Crystal City business was attacked by a man with a knife Tuesday evening, according to the Arlington County Police.

ARLINGTON, VA — A security guard at a Crystal City business was attacked by a man with a knife Tuesday evening, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday, police officers went to the 1200 bloc of S. Clark Street in response to the report of an assault.

The police found out that a security guard was requested to remove a man from a business. The man held up a knife and attempted to strike the security guard.

During the assault, the security guard fell to the ground and man struck him in the head with his hand before fleeing the scene on foot.

The security guard suffered a minor laceration on his hand during the attack and declined medical treatment, police said.

The suspect is described as a tall Black man with a skinny build, wearing all black and carrying a backpack.
