Sexual Assault At Arlington Mall: Police

Police say a man touched a woman inappropriately inside an Arlington mall store.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police have arrested a man after he allegedly touched a woman inappropriately inside a store at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City over the weekend.

Police were called to the mall in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street at around 5:42 p.m. on May 25 after security requested police assistance, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was inside a store when the male suspect brushed against her and touched her inappropriately," the report states. "The suspect fled prior to police arrival, but was located returning to the store while units were still on scene. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was also wanted out of Fairfax County."

Police charged 24-year-old Sterling Flowers of Alexandria with sexual battery. He is being held without bond.
