Police Search In Shirlington Area Fails To Locate Man Wanted In Sexual Assault

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred early Tuesday morning in the Shirlington area, according to the daily crime report.

Officers responded around 2:57 a.m. for the report of unknown trouble in the 4200 block of 31st Street South. Investigators said the victim was sexually assaulted by a man who was known to the victim. Officers located the man nearby, but he ran away.

With the help of the U.S. Park Police helicopter, police searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect.
