Shooting At Crystal City Hotel Under Investigation: Police

Arlington County Police detectives are investigating the shooting of a man early Saturday morning at a Crystal City hotel.

ARLINGTON, VA — Detectives from the Arlington County Police's Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit are investigating an early morning shooting at a Crystal City hotel, according to a release.

Around 1:41 a.m., on Saturday, officers responded to the report of shots being heard in the 1300 block of S. Eads Street. When they arrived, police found a man in the parking lot of a hotel suffering from a gunshot wound. The officers began administering emergency first aid until medics arrived. The man was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.

Following a preliminary investigation, detectives found evidence in the hallway of the hotel showing that multiple shots had been fired. They then interviewed several occupants of the hotel in order to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. This remains an active investigation.
