Shopper, 80, Dies After Crash in Parking Garage: Police
Gladys Pollock died after her car crashed in a garage Monday afternoon, according to county police spokesman.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington resident Gladys Pollock, 80, has died from injuries sustained in a crash Monday afternoon in an Arlington shopping center garage, according to Arlington County Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.
The incident took place Monday afternoon at about 4 p.m. in the 2700 block of Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon, where firefighters found Pollock in critical condition.

Pollock was reportedly shopping at Whole Foods and had returned to her car at the garage.
She was behind the wheel of her car when the car went into reverse, striking other cars, Sternbeck said; the car was then put into drive and sped forward, striking a cement pillar. Firefighters/medics responded to the scene.

Another woman, in another car, was also injured.
Both women were taken Monday afternoon to Virginia Hospital Center. Pollock was pronounced dead at the hospital, Sternbeck said. The other woman was treated for her injuries and released Monday.
