Arlington Police Investigate Shot Fired Inside Waverly Hills Home
Arlington County police are investigating the firing of a gun inside a home Tuesday morning in the Waverly Hills neighborhood.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police are investigating the firing of a gun inside a home Tuesday morning in the Waverly Hills neighborhood.
At about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to a residence in the 4600 block of N. 20th Road, two blocks south of the Lee Heights shopping center, for a report of a person with a gun.
Upon arrival, officers found the person walking in the area with a firearm in his hands and detained him. The police learned that the person had discharged the gun inside the residence and then left the house “as several individuals people were allegedly approaching.”

The person was transported to an area hospital for medical evaluation. There is no description of the other people, police said.
