Shotgun-Toting Masked Suspects Rob Hotel Near Reagan National: Police

Arlington County Police are on the lookout for three suspects in an armed robbery over the weekend, where suspects held shotguns on employees of a local hotel near Reagan National Airport.

The armed robbery took place in the 1400 block of S. Crystal Drive (see Google map below), at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at approximately 2:51 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

Three unknown subjects entered the Crowne Plaza Hotel with shotguns and stole an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. The subjects fled on foot.

Suspect descriptions

• The first suspect is described as a mixed-race male in his 20s, approximately 5’10”-6’1” tall and weighed 175 lbs, police said. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded long-sleeve North Face jacket, black pants, and black shoes.
• The second suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5’9”-5’11” tall and weighed 210 lbs, police said. He was wearing a black ski mask, a baggy brown jacket, black pants and black shoes.
• The third suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 6’0” tall and weighed 155 lbs, police sasid. He was wearing a black ski mask, a tight black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 150919001, 2900 block of S. 18th Street. At approximately 11:43 p.m. on September 18, a group of 5-10 people forced entry into a residence and attacked a 29 year-old male victim with a metal bat. The victim was transported to Virginia Hospital Center and refused treatment. Malik Short, 22, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding by mob, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery. Curly Tudd Bryant, 18, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and possession with intent to distribute. Dejah Lashae Gant, 19, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 150920008, 3900 block of N. 4th Street. At approximately 2:05 a.m. on September 20, a 47 year-old male victim was attacked by his brother while he was sleeping. The victim suffered a severe laceration to the left side of his face and was transported to Virginia Hospital Center. Warrants for malicious wounding were obtained for Oscar Bolivar Lopez Cabrera, 24, of Arlington VA. The suspect is still at large.

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 150919023, 2600 block of N. Washington Boulevard. At approximately 7:30 a.m. on September 19, a female victim walking her dog was followed by a male subject carrying a knife. The male subject was seen in several backyards of neighbors in the area and was later detained by a citizen. Abel Villanueva-Montesinos, 32, of Annandale VA, was arrested and charged with attempted malicious wounding, possession of cocaine, unlawful entry, and identity theft.

ROBBERY, 150919054, 2600 block of S. Troy Street. At approximately 8:27 p.m. on September 19, an unknown male subject implied he had a weapon and robbed a female victim of her wallet. The suspect then fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white male in his late twenties, approximately 6’0” tall, weighing 180 lbs and had dirty blonde curly hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing and black pants.
