Snow Disappears from Arlington Sunday Forecast, But May Come Back Tuesday

How much snow does Arlington typically get in March? It's more than you might think.

ARLINGTON, VA — So there's good news and bad news if you still want some snow before the season's over: the chances of it happening in Arlington on Sunday have all but evaporated, but now there's a solid chance we get some on Tuesday.

The snowstorm that was supposed to at least graze us on Sunday has shifted north and now we have a whopping zero percent chance of precipitation on Sunday. But the chance of snow on Tuesday is now at 70 percent, with Weather.com projecting "a wintry mix in the morning will transition to mainly rain showers in the afternoon" with snowfall of less than one inch. Those showers will turn back into snow in the evening if the forecast holds, with an inch of snow expected.

The previous forecast only called for a 40 percent chance of snow on Sunday, so this at least appears to be a better chance -- although, of course, you never know what will happen over the next few days.
