Sports Bar, with Rooftop Bar, Coming to Shirlington
The new sports bar, Dudley's Sport and Ale, will take the place of The Bungalow, which closed in June.

Coming early next year to Shirlington: Dudley’s Sport and Ale, taking the place of The Bungalow, according to the Shirlington Village Web site.

The new sports bar, at 2766 S. Arlington Mill Dr., is the creation of the folks behind Copperwood Tavern, another Shirlington restaurant, according to posts by Copperwood’s Reese Gardner.

- 12,000 square feet
- 3,000 square foot rooftop bar
- 40-plus TVs with gaming area
- Lounge-style seating
Gardner let supporters in how the sports bar came to be with posts on his Facebook page:
“Knowing the area’s need for a sports bar I jumped a the opportunity to take the space. I had one huge request for the reality company. Shirlington not only needs a sports bar it also needs a rooftop bar. With that being said they agreed and I happy to be bringing you Dudley’s Sport and Ale.
