Concealed Weapon Charge Filed Against Springfield Man: Report

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a Springfield man Tuesday night in the Shirlington area in connection with a weapons violation, according to the daily crime report.

Around 11:07 p.m., a patrol officer made a traffic stop near the intersection of S Four Mile Run Drive and S Walter Reed Drive for an equipment violation on a vehicle. As the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed the driver reaching under his car seat. Following an investigation, the officer determined the driver was not licensed and had two firearms inside the vehicle.

Police arrested Jevante Garner, 28, of Springfield, and charged him with no drivers license and carrying a concealed weapon. Garner was released on a summons.
