Stolen Vehicle Recovered, Suspects Arrested In Pentagon City
Arlington County Police arrested three individuals in connection with a carjacking that occurred in Maryland.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police recovered a vehicle that had been stolen from Maryland and made arrests in connection with the theft Saturday afternoon in Pentagon City, according to the daily crime report.
Officers were dispatched around 4:40 p.m., for the report of a suspicious unoccupied vehicle in a parking lot in the 900 block of Army Navy Drive. The person who had reported the vehicle told police that they had seen four individuals exiting the vehicle and walking slowly through the parking lot. They appeared to be casing vehicles, the person said.
Following a brief investigation, police determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from a carjacking in Maryland. After establishing a perimeter, the officers waited for the occupants to return to the vehicle. When they did, police took them into custody.

Police discovered that Jeremiah Diggs, 18, of Washington, D.C. was in possession of the vehicle’s key. They charged him with unauthorized use of a vehicle and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. ACPD also arrested Romel Howard, 18, of Washington. D.C. and charged him with possession of a Schedule V substance. Police also charged a juvenile suspect with possession of marijuana.
