Survey: Arlington Millennials the Richest in the Country, 2nd Highest Taxed
A new study has found that no other city in the nation has wealthier millennials than Arlington.

A recent survey has found that millennials who live in Arlington and D.C. pay the second and third highest taxes in the entire nation.
SmartAsset.com gathered data on millennials living in the 100 largest U.S. cities, and then looked at the median income for those between the ages of 18 and 34, using an income tax calculator to figure out the average tax rate for them for all taxes -- federal, state and local.
The richest millennials in the country live in Arlington, SmartAsset.com found, and they also pay the second highest income taxes in the country -- second only to San Francisco. The median income for 18-to-34-year-olds in the county is $61,620, higher than anywhere else and therefore resulting in the highest federal income taxes. But because the income tax in Virginia isn’t as high as it is in California, San Francisco edges them out for overall taxes.
