Suspect Arrested In Columbia Heights Shooting: Arlington Police
A 26-year-old man faces multiple charges in connection with the Labor Day shooting that occurred north of the Army Navy Country Club.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a suspect in the shooting that occurred Monday afternoon just north of the Army Navy Country Club.
Officers responded around 1:56 p.m., for multiple reports of gunshots being heard in the 1200 block of S. Ross Street in the Columbia Pike neighborhood.
Investigators determined that two groups involved in an argument, during which members from both groups displayed firearms, which they discharged, according to police. No injuries were reported

One group left the scene of the shootings in a vehicle, while the second group fled on foot. Police located the group on foot, detaining them in the 1300 block of S. Scott Street. Police said they recovered a firearm during their investigation.
ACPD arrested 26-year-0ld Patrick Nya of an undetermined address, charging him with reckless handling of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and attempted shooting missiles at an occupied vehicle.

Nya has adjudicatory hearing at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 25, in Arlington General District Court.
