Arlington police responded to several incidents over the weekend including two robberies with injuries and attempted assault with a hammer.
ARLINGTON, VA — An attempted assault with a hammer and two robberies with physical injuries were among numerous incidents Arlington police responded to over the weekend. Arrests do not equal convictions.
Arlington police officers were dispatched to a home in the 3800 block of Washington Blvd. on May 11 on a “trouble unknown” call. Upon arriving, they discovered a suspect had attempted to assault the individuals at the home with a hammer. The suspect fled the property before the police had arrived, and no one was injured during the altercation.
The suspect had entered the home and become “verbally irate while searching for a “missing item,” the police report stated. The incident quickly escalated, leading to the physical altercation. Officers said they eventually located the suspect, Kemoh Sesay, 27, of Arlington. He was arrested and charged with attempted malicious wounding and held without bond.
