T.J. Maxx Holding Grand Opening at Pentagon Row Later This Month

The retailer will open its new Arlington location on Oct. 29.

ARLINGTON, VA — Department store chain T.J. Maxx is about to have a grand opening for a new location in Pentagon City.

The retailer is opening at the old location of Hudson Trail Outfitters at Pentagon Row on Joyce Street, just outside the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. It will open on Saturday, Oct. 29 starting at 8 a.m. and stay open until 8 p.m.

Reusable bags will be given to the first 1,000 customers.

"We are pleased to provide a new store in Arlington, delivering value and an exciting selection of merchandise to serve the needs of customers," Richard Sherr, President of T.J.Maxx, said in a statement. "With thousands of new items from top designers and brands arriving in stores weekly from around the world, shoppers will discover a new store full of amazing values every time they visit."

The Pentagon Plaza location will span 20,721 feet and be open from 9:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sundays.

The store is also hiring, and expects to bring on 60 full- and part-time positions.

T.J. Maxx will present a $5,000 donation to Doorways for Women and Children during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. on opening day.

T.J. Maxx was founded in 1977, and is the nation's largest "off-price retailer," with more than 1,000 stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
