Target Store Coming To Ballston In 2021
The retailer will move into the 12-story building under construction at the corner of Wilson Boulevard and N. Glebe Road.

ARLINGTON, VA — The brand new 12-story mixed-use development under construction by Saul Centers, Inc. at the intersection of Wilson Boulevard and N. Glebe Road in Ballston has landed a major tenant: Target will be moving in in about four years.
The retailer will open a 41,500-square-feet store in the bottom floor of the building sometime in 2021, Target announced on their website.
"Merchandise includes a selection of fresh and grab-and-go grocery items, men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, electronic and entertainment items, beauty, health and personal care products, a curated assortment of home décor, a selection of toys and sporting goods, baby care items and more," Target states.

“Target’s small-format store near Saul Centers’ mixed-use project at Wilson and Glebe will offer a convenient, one-stop shop for the surrounding neighborhoods,” Mark Schindele, senior vice president of properties at Target, said in a statement as reported by ARLNow.com. “Local guests as well as visitors to the community will enjoy an easy and inspiring experience, featuring a grocery assortment, exclusive apparel brands, a location to pick up online orders and the convenience of 40 dedicated parking spaces.”
These smaller Target stores, ideal for urban and suburban environments, are becoming a priority for the retailer. It already operates one in Rosslyn, which opened in 2015.
