Around 2:00 a.m., police said the victim picked up a passenger, completed the trip and then parked his car along the 1600-block of McKinley Rd. to allow the passenger to exit.
Rather than getting out of the car and going about his business, the passenger pulled out a knife, reached into the front seat and struck the taxi driver multiple times, causing lacerations, police said.
