The National Chamber Ensemble, celebrates Valentine’s Day on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Artisphere’s Spectrum Theater. Praised by the Washington Post for being “Delightful...abundant in jovial wit,” National Chamber Ensemble’s society of internationally acclaimed musicians are is redefining the meaning of “chamber music.”
Celebrate the Day for Romance with ” The Thrill of Tchaikovsky”, a concert with music by one of the most romantic composers of all time. Peter Iliych Tchaikovsky, the leading Russian composer of the late 19th century thrilled audiences with music of great romanticism and melodic inspiration. His most acclaimed and beloved works include chamber music, symphonic masterpieces and the greatest ballets of all time such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Nutcracker. NCE will present some of his favorite works: String Quartet No.1, the Waltz from “ Sleeping Beauty”, and the exquisite Serenade for Strings.
