Train for a 5K and Help Homeless Families

Train for a 5K race and make new friends while supporting a good cause!

Always wanted to run a 5K race but didn’t know where to start? Join our B2i Runs for Good program and train for a 5K with a group of new friends while supporting a good cause! Both experienced runners and beginners (of all ages) are welcome to train and achieve your running goals. Training will begin Saturday, Oct. 1 and continue on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. for 9 weeks and then you’ll be ready to run a 5K race! You will run either the Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, or the Jingle All The Way 5K on Saturday, Dec. 4. (Your choice.)

The cost for the training program is $80 and includes the training, materials and a $25 donation to Bridges to Independence. Participants must register for the race separately. Training participants will also be encouraged to raise funds for Bridges to Independence to support homeless women and families in our community. Information about fundraising will be provided later.

Training location: Bluemont Park, 601 Manchester St., Arlington, VA 22203.
