“Joining the Arlington community is a very proud moment for us,” said Steve Frabitore, Tupelo Honey Cafe founder and CEO. “Our new location continues the legacy of the original restaurant with its scratch-made southern fare, yet embraces the area’s hometown flavor through local art, food and brews.”

The 6,589 square-foot restaurant will have 202 seats, a full bar and inviting outdoor patio for guests to enjoy. The bar features custom metal honeycomb backsplash and reclaimed wood bar front, with 23 craft beers on tap as well as a craft elderflower and brandy sparkling sangria. Bringing authentic Asheville to Arlington, the interior showcases works of art created by Asheville artist Simone Wilson and local artists Karen Tarlton and Anya Getter.

Wilson’s designs include three custom pendant lights and copper bands beautifully grouped together to create a nest in the entryway as well as punched metal panels above the kitchen and an American flag assemblage displayed in the dining room. Arlington artists created works for the dining area: Tarlton painted four Arlington scenes on the walls of the restaurant alongside Getter’s farm scene, created in mixed media.
