Two Found Dead in Arlington Apartment

Two Arlington residents were found dead Monday afternoon in a locked apartment, according to Arlington County Police.

Investigators have labeled the deaths “suspicious.” MyFoxDC reports that the deaths appear to be a murder-suicide.

The two bodies, a 29-year-old male and a 31-year-old female, where found during a “check on the welfare” call near 4 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of North Kensington Street.

“Detectives and crime scene technicians are on scene conducting the ongoing investigation,” according to a release from the Arlington Police Department. “At this time, there does not appear to be an immediate threat to the community.”

MyFoxDC notes this is the first homicide in Arlington since Oct. 2012.
