Metro Service In NoVA Disrupted By Unauthorized Person On Tracks
Service on Metro's Blue and Yellow lines was disrupted for several hours Sunday due to someone being on the tracks at Pentagon City.

ARLINGTON, VA — Service on the Metrorail's Blue and Yellow lines in Arlington was disrupted for several hours Sunday afternoon, due to an unauthorized person on the tracks at the Pentagon City Station, according to post on Metrorail's official Twitter account.
Arlington County Police were pursuing a man for larceny around 2:20 p.m., on Sunday, when he jumped onto the tracks, according to a report from 7News.

Metro first reported someone was on the tracks at 2:17 p.m. Service between the National Airport and L'Enfant Plaza and Arlington Cemetery stations was suspended on both Blue and Yellow lines. While the lines were closed, Metrorail provided shuttle service between stations.
Metro reported service on the Yellow line was restored around 3:56 p.m., between Huntington and Mount Vernon Square. By 5:28 p.m., service was restored at all of the closed stops on the Blue and Yellow lines, although delays were expected to continue.

Units from the Arlington County Fire EMS were dispatched to the Pentagon City Metrorail Station in support of a law enforcement investigation going on within the Metro system, according to a 5:50 p.m. post on the department's official Twitter account.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the tweet.
