Victim Suffers Serious Injuries In Crystal City Armed Robbery: Police

Three people walking in Crystal City were robbed by two men, one of whom brandished a firearm, according to Arlington County Police.

ARLINGTON, VA — Three people walking in Crystal City were robbed by two men, one of whom brandished a firearm, according to the Arlington County Police Department. One of the victims suffered serious injuries during the armed robbery, police said.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, the three people were walking in the 300 block of 23rd Street S. in Arlington when they were approached from behind by the two men.

The suspect with the gun demanded the victim’s property, including their clothing. During the incident, the suspect struck the victims with his gun, causing injuries, police said.

The suspects then fled into a parking garage with the stolen property, including cash, clothing and electronics, according to police.

The three victims were treated on the scene by the medics, with one of them taken to a hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.

The suspect with the gun is described as a Black male in his 20s, 5-feet, 7-inches tall and wearing a red baseball hat, glasses, purple/navy shirt and jeans, police said. The other suspect is described as a heavy-set Black man who was wearing a white shirt.
