VIDEO: Firefighters Use 'Jaws Of Life' To Rescue Woman From Ballston Metro Elevator
The woman was fortunately unharmed after becoming trapped in the elevator Thursday morning.

ARLINGTON, VA -- An elevator at the Ballston Metro station malfunctioned Thursday morning, forcing firefighters to use the "jaws of life" to pry it open and rescue the woman inside.
The "jaws of life" is a large hydraulic tool that is capable of pulling apart twisted metal and is usually used in car accidents to rescue victims trapped inside, but in this case it was used to pull an elevator passenger to safety. She was not injured.
