Washington-Lee (0-2, 0-0) struggled to find its rhythm on offense, and fell to the South County Stallions (1-1, 0-0) by a score of 42-7 Friday night.
Turnovers and penalties plagued the Generals all night. Anthony Taylor did add a 2-yard touchdown rush late in the 4th quarter to give W-L their only score. Taylor looked impressive, finishing with 47 yards, not including a 24-yard gain on 3rd and 13 negated by a penalty.
Quarterback Rigo Salguerro added 30 yards on nine carries for W-L, who opens National District play Thursday at home against Hayfield.
