Watch: US Flag Unfurled Over Pentagon To Mark 9/11
It has been exactly 17 years since American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A giant American flag was unfurled over the western side of the Pentagon Tuesday morning, exactly 17 years after American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the building as part of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.
Hijackers piloted the aircraft into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m. that day, killing all 64 people on board and 125 people in the building.
In what has become an annual tradition, giant American flags were also hung from all the skyscrapers in Rosslyn to remember the lives lost on that fateful day. Video of the Pentagon unfurling is below.
