Weapons Charges Filed Against Arlington Man Following Argument: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — A 34-year-old Arlington man was arrested early Tuesday in connection with an argument between two people that involved a firearm in the Buckingham area.

Around 1:04 a.m., officers were called to the unit block of N. Glebe Road for the report of someone pointing a firearm. The person who contacted police said that they were in their vehicle when the ban started arguing. After exiting the vehicle, the man started to walk away and pointed a firearm at the victim, according to police.

The officers began searching the area and located a man matching the description of the suspect in the 200 block of N. Trenton Street.

Police arrested 34-year-old Jerrell Copeland of Arlington and chraged him with brandishing, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, public intoxication and carrying a concealed firearm while under the influence of alcohol. Copeland was then held without bond.
