Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year where family and friends gather together to appreciate what and who they have around them. That also means lots of closures throughout the week, and sometimes it's hard to tell what's open and what's closed on what days. Is that office closed just on Thursday, or Friday as well?

Government offices, libraries, schools, museums, rec centers, and businesses all have their own opening and closing hours during this holiday week. Here's how it shakes out for residents of Arlington (via Arlington County).

  • ART – On Thursday, ART 41, 42, 43, 45, 51, 55 and 87 will operate on Sunday schedules; no other ART routes will operate. On Friday, ART 41, 42, 43, 45, 51, 55, 77 and 87 will operate on Saturday schedules; no other ART routes will operate.
  • STAR – See the STAR holiday schedule. Standing order rides are not provided on Thanksgiving or the day after, and the STAR Call Center will be closed on both Thursday and Friday.
