Where to Donate to Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots collects and donates toys for children during the holiday season.

Just in time to get you in to the holiday spirit, we have compiled a list of Toys for Tots donation spots around Arlington.

Toys for Tots is a national non-profit organization run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that collects and distributes new toys to children during the holiday season. Toys for Tots, which was started in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks, originally accepted both new and used toys, now only accepts new, unused and unwrapped toys. 

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to any of these participating Arlington donation sites by Dec. 22:

  • The Residences of Liberty Center: 888 N. Quincy Street
  • Fire Training Academy, 2800 S. Taylor Street (Shirlington)
  • The UPS Store at Shirlington: 2776 S. Arlington Mill Dr. (Shirlington)
  • Periwinkle: 4150 Campbell Avenue #104 (Shirlington)
  • The Knights of Columbus: 5115 Little Falls Road (North Arlington)
  • Browns Honda: 3920 Lee Highway

Washington Capitals fans can bring their donations to the Dec. 9 game at the Verizon Center against the Toronto Maple Leafs. (Bring the toys to the F street entrance, the first 2,000 fans who bring a toy will receive a free poster featuring Capitals captain and toy drive spokesman Alex Ovechkin.)
