“WJLA and NewsChannel 8 have been valued tenants in the Towers for over 15 years and we’re pleased to continue our special partnership with Sinclair,” said Tim Helmig, president of Monday Properties. “Not only have they been deeply invested and involved in the Washington region over the years, but they have become an iconic part of the community.”
Helmig added, “The Towers proximity to the DC region provides Sinclair’s media outlets the ability to cover stories quickly in an unencumbered location that is free from transportation inefficiencies.”
New gym
Tenants at the Towers building will receive free basic membership to the newly renovated on-site gym with new operator Styrke Fitness, Monday Properties noted. Tower tenants will also have the ability to secure group discounts to Styrke’s fitness classes and personal training services for their employees.
Rooftop deck
Monday Propertie has invested more than $50 million in improvements to the building, including a planned, world-class rooftop deck, lobbies, elevators and escalator modernizations, HVAC system and parking garage upgrades in recent years. The project offers more than one million square feet of LEED-EB Gold certified trophy office space.
“This recent robust leasing activity in the Towers is a reflection of the investments we’ve made into providing the modern amenities tenants want,” Helmig said. “The combination of stunning views, unparalleled amenities, with over 55,000 square feet of on-site retail and a location in the center of the DC metropolitan area is hard to beat. Tenant requirements have changed. We continue to position our assets with the objective of making them the most desirable office opportunities in the region.”
