Woman Bites Police Officer's Leg in Rosslyn: Police

Police say she became "aggressive and hostile" and they tried to handcuff her.

ARLINGTON, VA — A woman has been jailed after police say she bit an officer in the leg as they were trying to put her in handcuffs in Rosslyn.

Police were called to the 1800 block of N. Nash Street just after 10 p.m. on Jan. 19 to a report of a dispute between two people who knew each other, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

As officers were interviewing the parties involved, the woman became "verbally aggressive and hostile," the report states. Officers tried to put her handcuffs, which is when she allegedly bit one of them in the leg.

Police arrested 38-year-old Idella Tah a charge of assault on police. She is being held without bond.
