Woman Hits Man With Her Car In Arlington Heights, Flees: Police

Police say the man was unloading items from his car when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police are looking for a woman who struck a man with her car as he was unloading items from his vehicle in the Arlington Heights neighborhood, and then fled the scene.

Police were called to the 3400 block of 7th St. S shortly before 10 p.m. on June 28 to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Upon arrival, it was determined a male victim was standing next to his parked vehicle unloading items when he was struck by a passing vehicle," the report states. "The female suspect driving the vehicle initially stopped, but returned to her vehicle and fled the scene."

The man was sent to George Washington University Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police describe the suspect as a white woman in her mid-20s to early 30s, about 5'6" tall, and wearing a white sweater. They are investigating the incident as a felony hit-and-run.
