Woman Kicks Officer Following Traffic Stop: Police
Arlington County Police arrested a woman on Route 110 they said failed to identify herself and kicked an officer during a traffic stop.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police charged a woman with assault and battery on a police officer after an ACPD officer stopped the vehicle she was riding in Sunday morning on Route 110, according to the daily crime report.
Around 2:50 a.m., an ACPD officer on patrol initiated a traffic stop on Route 110 at Memorial Drive. Neither the driver nor the passenger was properly licensed, police said. The officer asked the passenger to exit the vehicle so that it could be towed, but she became irate, left the vehicle, and then fled on foot, according to police.
Officers found the woman walking in the southbound lanes of Route 110 and attempted to make contact to ensure her safety. After refusing to stop, she continued walking in the travel lanes, until an officer brought her to a safer area off the roadway. The woman refused to follow commands, began acting disorderly, and shouted incoherently at the officers. As they tried to stand her up, police said the woman kicked one of the officers and grabbed another by the wrist. When officers asked her identity, they said she provided a false name. Police were able to identify her later using law enforcement resources.
