Woman Slammed Against The Wall By Robber In Ballston: Police

Police say the woman was walking in the area when a man approached her from behind.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police are searching for a suspect after a man shoved a woman up against a wall in Ballston and stole her property.

Police say that at around 9 p.m. on Aug. 9 in the 3900 block of Fairfax Drive, the victim was walking in the area when an unknown man approached her from behind, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"The suspect then assaulted her, however, the victim resisted and a brief struggle ensued before the suspect fled on foot with her property," the report states. "The victim suffered minor injuries."

Police described the suspect as follows: "The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40-45 years old, 5’8”-6’0” tall, weighing 190-210 lbs., with brown hair."

The investigation is ongoing.
