Woman on Tracks Friday Morning at Ballston Metro
WMATA described the incident as a "medical emergency."

Shortly before 9 a.m. Friday, a woman was on the tracks at the Ballston Metro station, in what WMATA called a “medical emergency.”
Metro described the incident at the Ballston Metro station in a message sent out on Twitter at 8:57 a.m. Friday.
Twitter user @Durrrius posted this message: “Lady just walked smooth off the platform onto the tracks at Ballston station right in front of me.”

Orange, Silver and Blue line trains were slowed while Metro officials turned off power to the rails and got the woman back to safety.
