Would-Be Burglar Flees After Being Spooked by Car's Arrival in Pentagon City: Police
An early morning burglary was foiled by someone pulling into a nearby parking lot, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man tried to smash his way into a business in Pentagon City early Wednesday morning, but was spooked by a car's sudden arrival, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
The report states that at around 12:37 a.m. on Oct. 12 in the 1500 block of S. Fern Street, "an unknown subject attempted to force entry into a business by shattering the front door." However, the suspect fled when a car pulled into a nearby parking lot.
Police described the suspect as wearing black boots and dark colored pants.
