Youth Group Holds 'Cute Animal' Contest, Fundraising Campaign

ARLINGTON, VA — The Arlington Youth Philanthropy Initiative is sponsoring a “cute animal” photo contest and holding a fundraising campaign.

People can send photos of their pet to aypi@arlcf.org. Participants will get the chance to win a poster with the photo of their pet on it.

The group is also asking the public to consider including a small donation with their entry. Visit the initiative's website to learn how to make a donation.

Winners of the "cute animal" photo contest will be announced on Easter, April 17.

The Arlington Youth Philanthropy Initiative is a youth board of students from area high schools committed to making a difference in Arlington.

The teens recruit and mentor peers on projects that make a positive impact in the community. The initiative offers grants for youth-led projects in Arlington.
