Zara Clothing Store Coming to Pentagon City
Also headed to shopping center: Matchbox, known for its wood-fired pizza and craft brews and Sugar Factory. New, open: Kiko Milano Cosmetics
Pentagon City shopping center owner Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, announced Tuesday the addition of iconic Spanish brand Zara and Italian beauty resource Kiko Milano Cosmetics to Fashion Centre at Pentagon City as part of the mall’s 50,000 square-foot renovation and expansion project, according to a news release from the company.
Zara currently has locations at Tysons and in Georgetown.
Expected to open in the spring of 2016, trendy store Zara is opening along the new expansion area on Hayes Street. The Spanish label, known for its cutting-edge collections and hot-off-the-runway looks, will occupy a 27,000 square-foot store. Shoppers can browse the store’s signature European-style clothing, outerwear, shoes and accessories for men and women, as well as children’s clothing through its line, Zara Kids.

In other news at the shopping center, Italian makeup brand Kiko Milano Cosmetics is now open at Pentagon City. The store occupies a 1,097 square-foot space on the mall’s ground level, between Luggage Plus and Brighton Collectibles. The store boasts more than 1,200 professional makeup and skincare products as well as advanced accessories and skincare products. Shoppers can work with Kiko Milano Cosmetics’ makeup artists and experts to experiment with the new looks and learn about the latest in skincare and bodycare.
“The additions of Zara to the mall’s 50,000 square-foot expansion area and Kiko Milano Cosmetics to our general store inventory allows us to continue to provide Fashion Centre at Pentagon City shoppers with the best, most diverse experience possible,” said Laurie Van Dalen, general manager. “We can’t wait to share more updates to the mall’s renovation progress as well as our ever-expanding store offerings.”

Fashion Centre at Pentagon City’s multi-phase renovation and expansion project will add new retailers and dining establishments to the iconic Arlington mall. Interior updates are slated for completion at the end of this year, with improvements on many of the mall’s main atriums, escalators and elevators currently underway.
Among the forthcoming exterior enhancements to be completed in 2016 is a new feature entrance along Hayes Street, which will include several new retail and restaurant spaces with spacious outdoor seating.
- Matchbox, known for its wood-fired pizza and craft beer, will join the updated façade in the spring of 2016 and include two levels of lounge and dining areas as well as an expansive outdoor patio.
- Sugar Factory will also open its doors next year serving up classic American fare and retail space for its whimsical candy creations.
