Zara Opens at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, More Stores Coming Soon

Fashion retailer Zara has now officially opened at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City.

The Pentagon City mall has been going through a huge 50,000-square-foot expansion project that includes both new stores and a brand new entrance and interior improvements, like new elevators and escalators. The Spanish retailer is the latest store to open up at the mall, joining Garrett Popcorn Shops, Shake Shack and NYX Professional Makeup as the newest entries.

In addition, Coach is opening in a new location in the mall, according to a statement.

Zara offers "an impressive variety of styles for men, women and children, including casual wear, special-occasion looks, footwear and more," and shoppers can access the retailer from the second level of the mall near Macy's.

"We’re always looking for brands that further strengthen our property’s list of retailers and enhance the experience for our shoppers, and ZARA was a perfect fit," Todd Jerscheid, director of marketing and business development for Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, said in the statement. "Offering a vibrant mix of prominent store options helps us continue our commitment to better serve the D.C. community. We’re looking forward to more exciting additions in the coming months as we complete the final phases of our renovation project."

More stores are coming: honeygrow, Altar'd State and Matchbox will open later this summer. Altar'd State, a fashion boutique, will open in July, and honeygrow will offer shoppers stir-fry and salad options in early August. Matchbox will be an American-style restaurant opening later this summer.
