2 Overdose Deaths Reported In Loudoun County On Sunday Morning: Police
Authorities are warning residents to be cautious after a pair of people died of suspected opioid overdoses in Loudoun County on Sunday.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff's office issued a warning after a pair of overdose deaths in the county on Sunday morning.
The sheriff's office did not provide detailed information about the people who died on Sunday. Authorities noted that their deaths are under investigation, and investigators are awaiting the results of toxicology reports.
"If you believe a person is experiencing an overdose or in need of services, please call 911 immediately," the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. "If you have information regarding suspected narcotics activity in Loudoun County, please contact the LCSO Narcotics Hotline by calling 703-779-0552."

The Loudoun County government offers classes to help residents respond to possibly fatal overdoses. "Revive: Opioid Overdose Reversal Training" is free and offered about once a month in Loudoun County. The next synchronous online class is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 13.
A six-minute version of the class called Rapid REVIVE! is available online and can be taken asynchronously.

Anyone who takes either class will receive free naloxone nasal spray, also known as Narcan. Narcan is used to counter the decreased breathing that can accompany an overdose.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration operates a 24/7 hotline for people struggling with addiction at 1-800-662-4357.
